AIYAARY
Inspired by real life events, Aiyaary
narrates the story of two Indian army
officers; mentor Abhay Singh and
protégé Jai Bakshi, played by Manoj
Bajpayee and Sidharth Malhotra
respectively. Jai goes rogue after he is
exposed to the corruption that exists
in the system and starts making his
own decisions that he believes are
in the best interest of the country.
Abhay has 36 hours to capture his
former protégé and stop him from
bringing down the government. The
cat-and-mouse chase commences and
appears to be a thrilling ride with jaw-
dropping action sequences.

PAD MAN
The highly-anticipated movie Pad
Man is the biopic of the Tamil Nadu-
based social activist, Arunachalam
Muruganantham. The story revolves
around Lakshmikant Chauhan, played
by Akshay Kumar who is trying to
ensure that women in rural areas have
access to aff ordable sanitary napkins.
He begins manufacturing pads and
stands his ground, even after being
shunned by the society and his own
family. With a powerful social message,
Pad Man appears to be a progressive
step towards empowering women and
reducing cultural norms and religious
taboos on menstruation.

HICHKI
Rani Mukerji is making her comeback in
the Yash Raj Film, Hichki. Her character,
Naina Mathur, dreams of teaching
despite the challenges of dealing with
Tourette syndrome, where she makes
involuntary repetitive movements and
sounds. She is employed as a teacher
at an elite school where she is assigned
to a class of kids that belong to low-
income families. Things start out rough
with uncooperative students, but Naina
remains optimistic and stands up for
them when they are discriminated. Hichki
appears to be a well-scripted drama that
was created to inspire everyone.
